Our Amish craftsmen build each table on a sturdy 3/4-inch square powder coated black steel base. The top is 3/4-inch solid hardwood. (The unit shown is reclaimed barnwood with a natural finish.) So the tables are sturdy and durable. Also, take proper care. And they should last for generations to come.
