Skilled Amish cabinetmakers painstakingly handcraft each Pierre Gentleman’s Chest. And they use solid hardwoods like oak, maple, hickory and cherry. As a result, the chest is so well constructed, you can expect it to last for generations to come. It might even become a family heirloom. How strong is the gentleman’s chest? The top is 1-inch solid hardwood, and we finished the back with 1/2-inch-thick solid hardwood. So you won’t find particle board, veneered cardboard or other bargain substitutes here!
